As I started working with the unfamiliar application: Google Earth, I found difficulty in coming up with a topic that worked. I wanted to create a project featuring something around the NBA. I did research and uncovered that Chucky Brown, played for 11 different teams throughout his career. A great topic for migration I thought to myself. I decided that I was going to choose the home arenas in which Chucky represented.
I thought, that finding the addresses for the stadiums was going to be ridiculously difficult, however it turned out to be really easy. All I had to do was figure out the name of the arena and type that in. After I had completed, and went the next day to run through it, all of my pictures were red x’s. I couldn’t figure out what happened until I had remembered that I had thrown them away. All I had to do was take it out of the trash. I really like this program, because it allows you to see the world, without getting out of your chair.

ReplyDeleteI also found it difficult to come up with a topic. Eleven teams, so did you end up putting eleven items in I'm assuming. That is a bit interesting that they turned into red x's and how you decided to use red in a blue color. Anyways I enjoyed Google Earth as well as soon as I got to understand it and I found it not too complicated later on, well I did receive a little help. Thanks

Austin, I saw that you had some errors in your project such as grammar errors. I also so saw that you didn't answer the questions correctly(you didn't list the features you used). Your answers needed more thought. Other than that I liked your blog and how you explained what your topic was about.
ReplyDeleteYour project was good, but some more info on the places and Chucky himself might have been nice. Why did he keep getting switched? It would have been nice to know. So all in all more information would have been helpful in understanding your topic more.
ReplyDeleteI thought this project was very good. Even though I am a basketball fan I didn't like how you can't see the actual court. I liked when he put the image overlay on, it gave me an idea of what the inside looked like.
ReplyDeleteWow! You are a basketball fan! You had a lot of good details on your landmarks. I liked the picture you inserted. I think you did a nice job. You met all the requirements!
