Jacquie's Google Earth

Spending time with Google Earth has really enlightened me. With all of its outstanding features, I have found this program simple to use and convenient. It allows me to create any kind of path I want, whether its places I've been or places I want to go. My Google Earth project was especially fun to do. Just recently, I took a long road trip to New Jersey and got stuck there overnight. I explained this journey in my project using fancy overlays and paths as well as placemarks to depict the experience I went through. To make my project even more interesting, I used the 3D buildings and different angles.
I really enjoyed doing this Google Earth project. It was very easy to view my sights in all of the ways I wished, and to share it with everyone. I found it especially convenient that my project could be viewed on the Google maps as well. To my surprise, the overlays didn't work with this, which was the only downside. I have no tips to offer for using this program, although I'd like to encourage anyone out there to use Google Earth. It's a great new way to view things differently and is user-friendly!

  1. "Enlightened." Wow. Mucho Buddhist.

Well, Jacquie, I suppose your Google Earth could have been worse. You had basically interesting travel points and entertaining captions along with.

Of course, like every GE project, it wasn't without its faults. The lines you drew were occasionally confusing--I couldn't tell if they were coming, going, or just haywire. Plus which, they didn't have any captions...which I suppose they were supposed to.

Also, who cares about malls? Be more interesting.

    Malls.

    Jeeze.

    Good job, Jacquie. :)

  2. I thought your Google Earth project was pretty well organized and well put together. You had some good descriptions along with your placements which helped with the visual for each placemark. I think you did a good job :)

  3. Very very nice work Jac(: I think that its really cool how you used one of your experiences as your Google Earth thing.
Even though the overlays didnt work very well, I think that you had the basic idea down on what needed to be done and how you could use all the little gadgets.
    Im proud of youuuu(:

  4. Jaquie,

Your project was interesting, to say the least. It showed migration for sure. It did incorporate a little humor, which made watching all of these projects a little less painful. I thought it was a good project.
